The Australia Council for the Arts today expressed its sadness at the passing of author Eric Rolls.
Mr Rolls is known for his celebrations of Australian landscapes and multicultural society. He published more than 20 titles, including the classic A Million Wild Acres.
The Australia Council recognised Mr Rolls with several fellowships and grants over the past thirty years.
The Australia Council joins with the rest of the arts community in mourning his loss.
